He gave a pretty interesting talk at Ruby Fringe that goes into how they handle getting business and what they consider important for their consulting contracts, about using a Master Service Agreement. (the contract stuff starts about 22 minutes in) Thought it might be up your alley.
Related-ly, an old friend/ Starwood boss Todd has started transforming his
company into working with (design) agencies to provide technical services to their clients.
It’s a pretty interesting stance. It’s essentially what I’ve been doing lately, but I haven’t been branding myself as a company.
I don’t want to run a design/ marketing web company. And I’m not hardcore (or self-confident) enough to run a technology consultancy.
Maybe we should start to think of Reinvent Retail more as providing technology solutions to
independent businesses. That’s a mission I feel confident about getting behind.
