Played a crazy game of pool the other night at a place called Bebe Blues e Come Jazz. (Drink blues and eat jazz, (god I love Brazil!)) Weird game, each team has four balls, small table, tiny pockets. I lost the game for us…

Then we went to a Peter Tosh tribute show with some sweet Brazilian Reggae (to be pronounced Hey-ghee) bands, but couldn’t keep up with the late-night action and went home around 3am.

I’ve been doing some really interesting freelance work this past week, applying for some jobs in Columbus and going through lots of old random thoughts and jokes I have…. My new WordPress design/ plugin will be launching soon…Â Also, look forward to some more music-related posts.

At my next job, I want to be able to…

• bike to work
• laugh with my co-workers
• write code that makes me smile
• balance work and life
• get good lunch within walking distance
• work in an architecturally cool place
• not have an out of touch project manager tell me to read Rise of the Creative Class
• listen to great music
• make some reasonably good percentage of my previous salary

Que peu grandão

Recap of the last week in JoãoPessoa. Went to see this band called (I’m not joking) The Omelettes at a Chinese Restaurant at MAG Shopping. Unfortunately no camera, but it was four band members in leopard print shirts and Brazilian Flag sunglasses. Highlight: sing along to the famous Elvis hit, typed phoenetically: “Blue Sude Shoes” Of course I bought the CD.

Lots of random exploring and getting on the wrong bus. A bus map does not exist here, which is completely unfathomable, and made me wish I had brought a GPS to just ride every bus and create one. Also, went shopping. I think everyone will thank me for not bringing these bad boys back to the states.

Helped Johanna with work one day this week, streaking plates and looking for salmonella. Also did a lot of reading and working on some side programming projects. I’m also in the process of forking this blog into a tumblelog and a real company blog. And I’ve been doing a lot of work on my main project for when I return, the music startup I co-founded.

This is a cute donkey, I named him Dave.
